I enjoy meeting new people and find it hard to in this area. I barely can find some good friend better yet date. lol Some of the network parties were more of a high school dance. People divided and just talking to the people they already know and talk to on the regular. Bars and Clubs are hard to meet people since u can not chat over loud music. Can some suggest any places?

ah ok. yea unfortunately there are clicques everywhere. :) For an event to be successful with positive vibes flowing it's up to the host/hostess to plan socially engaging activities that will steer the attendees away from groups of women on one side and groups of men in another and initiate activities or work the room to engage folks outside of their comfort zone. Everybody's kinda checking the scene, each other while maintaining an air of coolness at these events. :)

To your other comment re: being conditioned I'm not a clubber in the granular sense but i suppose familiarity and comfort level plays a huge role in peeps patronizing the same place on a regular basis. Not everyone is adventerous and willing to explore new activities that are happening around the Tampa/Miami and inbetween areas.

Hopefully, peeps continue to throw mixers/events at different locales around town.

Yes, I've been to a few mixers where there was no mixing going on except with the people they already knew. I'm the type who can approach a group with no problem but the environment was not welcoming at all.
It also seems that people are really conditioned and set in their ways when it comes to hanging out here. Just because "Club X" has been the spot on a certain night forever doesn't mean you have to go there.

Status update on the mixer? LOL And I agree with the statement that there are many places to go on a date here in Tampa. But...why limit just to Tampa - we're lucky that we have the whole beautiful state to explore. LOL

BTW Teddy - what do you mean by "funny actin"? Being new was there a mixer where nobody wanted to mix? LOL

Let me know when and I can cross post the event with my Sista Girls. We're 50+, age 21-40, I'd expect at least 15-20 of us to come to an event like this.

I have noticed the "funny actin" alot since moving here so hopefully there will be more dedicated supporters....especially of the female gender.
